‘Out of your vulnerabilities will come your strength’ (Sigmund Freud)
Life is full of challenges, and at times it may feel hard to manage. There are countless reasons for seeking therapy. There may be a particular issue in the present day that you wish to address, such as your relationships, bereavement, addictions or depression. Or, you might feel haunted by unresolved issues from your past such as trauma, abuse or childhood experiences.
Perhaps it is hard to name what it is disturbing you, yet you have a sense of things not being right, or that you are not living your life as you would wish. Whatever the reason, speaking to a psychotherapist can be invaluable in helping you find ways to make sense of your difficulties, and work towards a more fulfilled way of living.
Choosing a therapist can be really daunting. I feel it takes courage not only to acknowledge that something needs to change, but also to seek help. If you are considering therapy at the moment, in a sense you have already taken the first step.
I am committed to ‘normalising’ and de-stigmatising the need to seek help for our mental health. Psychological well being is just as important, and interconnected with our physical well being, and I feel should be recognised as such.
Please visit my website to find out more about me and the way I work. www.freyalampard.co.uk I am a Psychotherapist in the final stages of training with Bath Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BCPC) and a member in training of United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP).
